38 Hours Drivers Education Course
(30 Hours lecture course and 8 hour behind-the-wheel driving).
Louisiana law requires students ages 15, 16, and 17 take the 30 hour classroom instruction and 8 hours (behind-the wheel) instruction. However, we recommend continue monitoring and supervised by parents. Students will first complete the required 30 hours classroom course, followed by a test. Student, must score 80% to pass classroom instruction. 8 hours behind-the wheel 70% of driving to pass.
Note: 30 Hours classroom portion. Students who want to enroll in the 30 hours classroom students age are required to be at lease 14 years and 9 months and in the 9th grade(at a minimum) to take classroom portion only. However to complete the 8 hours behind the wheel driving, the student must be at lease 15 years of age. For those students who do not meet the age requirement for the driving portion we will make arrangements and schedule those students for their driving portion.
